With most galleries opening at 11, we had a relaxed breakfast and email catch-up. It also gave a chance to take some more pics of our lovely apartment. This is the owner's office
Here is the dining room and door into the living room.
The other end of the very large dining room. Lots of art here!
And the living room where we often unwound in the evenings (with the owner's office beyond).
Our first stop was with the owner of a ceramics gallery, Tortus. Lester had been emailing with him for several months as the gallery was actually closed for vacation. Not only did the only agree to meet us, but he also showed us his workshop a few blocks away. Here he is where he does the work on his very clean, simple functional pieces - in a lovely very old building.
The building opens into a courtyard in the back where there is even an older building. Couldn't resist a shot of this out the back window.
We also met his landlord's pet - very tame! No this is not a cat!
After going over to his gallery and buying a piece, we headed for lunch in the wing of an old church.
It was charming and the food was good.
I guess restaurants everywhere try to have unique signage for restrooms...
Then it was on to some other Danish housewares/furniture stores, like this one.
And a high-end lighting design showroom.
For dinner, we ventured in to "New Nordic" again at "Host" which was supposed to be the runner up to Noma.
It was a mess and highly overrated. The service, the food and everything was very pretentious. It did not make for a happy dining experience - so different from the night before at Bror which was so warm and friendly. So much for ratings....
